The Role

Keep the wheels turning — literally. As a Railroad Mechanic, you’ll inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment including trucks, track machines, and hi-rail gear. You’ll work both in-shop and in the field, supporting crews across the region.

What You’ll Do

·  Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, and electrical issues

·  Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections

·  Maintain service logs and parts inventory

·  Respond to field calls and get equipment back up fast

·  Support DOT/FRA compliance


What You Bring

·  2+ years of mechanic experience (diesel, heavy equipment, or rail preferred)

·  CDL-A preferred

·  Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills

·  Must be organized, self-motivated, and safety-driven

·  Pass DOT and FRA drug/alcohol screening

Key Responsibilities

Safety

  • It is your responsibility to work safely and oversee the safety of your work groups.

  • Accidents, incidents, or injuries are not acceptable at Track Tech Inc.

  • Each decision will be made by first determining if there is a safe way to accomplish the task.

  • JSA's will be completed each time work is performed.

  • Appropriate PPE will be worn as per our handbook and rules. Additional PPE can always be worn if deemed necessary and safe. This includes all customer facility requirements.

  • All incidents will be immediately reported to your supervisor and HSE manager with an incident form created in Vector.

  • Any unsafe action will be stopped immediately and reported to a supervisor. Everyone has stop-work authority regarding safety.

Quality

  • Track Tech Services' goal is to perform top-quality work for our customers. All FRA regulations must be followed, and customer requests and issues must be addressed promptly and correctly. Quality must be right the first time.

  • Projects will be executed with the highest regard to quality and customer satisfaction, including safety standards (FRA) and customer expectations.

  • Project scopes must be understood and communicated for our team to be successful.
